Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in hotel or resort engineering management
- Proficiency in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of budgeting and vendor management
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks when necessary
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in engineering management within the hospitality industry
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, kitchen and laundry equipment, life safety systems, painting, and swimming pools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor relations
- Ability to monitor and improve operational performance metrics
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the hotel industry
- Skilled in project management and scheduling
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
Job Duties
- Assist in overseeing engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, and capital projects
- Support budgeting, procurement, and vendor management for engineering related projects
- Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure solutions align with organizational goals
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Manage scheduling, payroll, training and development of engineering staff
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of hotel facilities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, painting, and swimming pools
- Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to coordinate engineering efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
