Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel engineering or facility management
  • Proven technical expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, and related areas
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to handle complex projects and vendor relationships
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in hotel or resort engineering management
  • Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, life safety, painting, and swimming pool maintenance
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with budgeting and vendor management
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Job Duties

  • Assist in overseeing engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, and capital projects
  • Support budgeting, procurement, and vendor management for engineering related projects
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure solutions align with organizational goals
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, staff training and development
  • Other duties as assigned
