Job Requirements
- college education preferred
- 5-6 years of experience as catering or conference services manager in a full-service resort or hotel, including 3 years at senior or assistant director level or higher
- excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- proven interpersonal skills with successful client interaction track record

Job Duties
- supervise coordinators, managers, assistant directors, and administrative staff in their day-to-day roles including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communications such as banquet event orders, resumes, daily events reports, and golden s&
- c standards
- review for accuracy and assign booking turnovers from sales department to conference services managers
- prepare and analyze catering and conference services weekly 3-month financial forecast and month-end financial summaries, contribute to annual marketing plan and budget
- collaborate with director of sales, director of catering and director of banquets for efficient group guest service and maximum profitability
- evaluate current sales practices and recommend improvements to maximize profitability
- oversee monthly administration and motivate conference services annual incentive plans to maximize revenues
- finalize requirements of personally booked or assigned catering and conference services bookings maximizing revenue through up-selling and ensuring effective communication and personal contact with all departments for event success
- supervise the execution of banquet events, review function spaces with banquet director and ensure client and group satisfaction at event outset
- make timely decisions balancing clients' needs with financial, safety, and staffing goals
- find solutions to challenges during group events and keep director of marketing and planning committee informed for corrective actions
- maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, meeting space capacities and dimensions, and operational needs of all departments
- conduct performance evaluations, mentor conference services managers and administrative assistants, facilitate training, and manage hiring, terminating, or disciplining of conference services employees
- act as liaison for vendor and supplier client needs including audiovisual, florists, entertainment, transportation, dmc, and off-site locations
- respond to resort emergency or safety situations as per crisis management plan
- comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing and maintain professional relations with coworkers and planning committee
- comply with Four Seasons standards of conduct set forth in EmPact
