Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in airport management or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to public service and community engagement
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, airport management, or a related field
- Five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in airport management or a related transportation field
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing airport operations
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop teams
- Strong financial acumen including budget development and monitoring
- Experience with project management and organizational planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders
Job Duties
- Direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate assigned activities and operations of the Airport System
- Plan, develop, manage and administer various sections within the Airport System
- Coordinate with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, and the general public
- Select, supervise, train, and evaluate staff
- Develop, monitor and interpret budgets and financial documents
- Plan, coordinate and administer airport policies, projects and programs
- Represent the airport system in public meetings and deliver presentations
- Investigate and resolve disciplinary issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
- Foster cooperative and effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Analyze problems, project proposed action consequences, and implement recommendations
- Apply principles of airport management, finance, marketing, and land use planning
- Communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats
