Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history
  • Experience in healthcare housekeeping or facility maintenance
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Experience in budget preparation and management
  • Ability to work under stress and maintain composure
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures
  • Progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping or facility maintenance
  • Strong work ethic and initiative
  • Excellent communication, listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage staff participatively and function under stress
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and follow-through skills

Job Duties

  • Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for housekeeping staff in accordance with facility policies
  • Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services
  • Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and recommends termination of housekeeping personnel
  • Orients, trains, develops, and supervises all Housekeeping staff
  • Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility, recommends action items, and assists with relocations
  • Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments
  • Schedules major project work and ensures availability of staff and supplies
  • Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies
  • Assists Department Director with budgets
