Job Requirements
- Advanced skills and experience in utilizing the StarRez Housing Software Platform
- Advanced fluency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A Bachelor's Degree in Student Personnel, Student Affairs, or a related field
- Minimum two years of post-graduate professional student services work experience managing Student Housing and Residential Life programs
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Willingness to serve as mandated reporter under California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of practice, procedure, management, and activities of a Student Housing and Residential Life program
- Substantial understanding of occupancy management, group dynamics, and current issues and trends in higher education
- Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations
- Ability to initiate and use resourcefulness in planning work assignments and implementing long-range operational improvements
- Ability to collect, compile, analyze and evaluate data and make presentations
- Ability to advise students and staff on routine and complex matters
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus
- Ability and skill to supervise multiple direct reports
- Demonstrated technical literacy with electronic mail, data entry, scheduling, and internet communication software
- Independent thinking and self-motivation
- Ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated experience performing essential duties satisfactorily
Job Duties
- Provide leadership within Operations to promote and facilitate a student-centered organizational culture
- Directly supervise, train, develop, and evaluate full-time professional staff members
- Indirectly oversee the Front Desk Supervisor and student staff positions
- Serve in the Administrator On Call emergency crisis response rotation
- Facilitate and assist in resolving staff and student concerns and emergencies
- Provide direction and oversight for all occupancy management functions
- Oversee implementation of housing selection, room transfer, cancellation, and reassignment processes
