Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/equivalent
  • Four years of experience related to academic and/or student services or eight years of related experience
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to academic and/or student services or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of A/V operations
  • Knowledge in risk management, accessibility, and safety
  • Ability to relate well with student groups and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proven success building strong partnerships and forming collaborative efforts with students, staff, and faculty
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to teach transferable skills in organization, delegation, organizing meetings, and ethical decision making

Job Duties

  • Lead event operations for the Student Union Campus Event Services team, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless execution across multiple Union+ facilities
  • Supervise and develop full-time and student staff, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and professional growth opportunities
  • Coordinate event planning, logistics, and billing through the Mazevo system, facilitating weekly planning meetings and client walkthroughs
  • Oversee event setups, A/V services, and technical support, staying current with industry trends and equipment advancements
  • Manage event-related inventory, budgets, and revenue goals, ensuring proper maintenance, storage, and replacement of equipment
  • Collaborate with campus partners and clients to plan and deliver high-quality events that meet needs and enhance the campus experience
