Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Proven leadership ability
- Food Safety certification
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs horizontally and vertically
- Ability to stand continuously up to 4 hours, up to 8 hours per shift
- Ability to operate deli equipment safely
- Ability to perform related duties as assigned

- Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff
- Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
- Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Food Safety certification
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company regulations related to product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store and employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment
- Ability to perform duties as assigned
Job Duties
- Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
- Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
- Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest customer experience
- Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Deli team
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- Validate that Deli team members follow these procedures
- Thrive in a fast paced environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
