Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • preferred 2 years supervisory experience
  • knowledge of deli or related food service
  • dependable and reliable
  • able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • outgoing and friendly behavior
  • proven leadership ability
  • working knowledge of personnel reports and financial goals
  • strong focus on detail and problem solving skills
  • maintain Food Safety certification
  • ensure compliance with federal, state and company regulations
  • strong organizational and planning skills
  • able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs for up to 4 hours
  • able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • operate deli equipment
  • perform related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff
  • working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers and financial goals
  • strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Food Safety certification
  • strong organization and planning skills
  • ability to operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
  • effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
  • assist in leading a team that delivers the finest quality products and highest level of service
  • assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team
  • unload and sort store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations
