Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience
  • valid Food Safe Certification
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • proficiency in English communication
  • basic computer literacy
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years relevant kitchen experience
  • Food Safe Certification
  • knowledge of workplace health and food safety practices
  • proficient in English
  • basic computer skills
  • familiarity with Asian cuisine preferred
  • proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin advantageous

Job Duties

  • Assist head cook with food preparation
  • chop, cut, marinate, and peel ingredients
  • check quality and quantities of received food products
  • store food products properly
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen utensils and tools
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • monitor proper storage and temperature records
  • manage garbage and waste disposal
  • ensure freshness and FIFO compliance
