Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Three years of full-time experience in preparing meals in an institutional or commercial kitchen
  • Possession of a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card at the time of application
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Manager certification within six months of hire
  • Ability to pass post offer pre-employment background check, medical, physical examination, and drug/alcohol test
  • Compliance with state and federal certification requirements as a condition of employment
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of full-time experience in institutional or commercial meal preparation
  • Valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • ServSafe Manager certification obtained within six months of hire
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and certifications
  • Collaborate with team members to provide efficient meal service
  • Monitor food quality and portion control
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
