Job Requirements
- Culinary school degree or equivalent training
- Minimum of one year experience in high volume kitchen environment
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Flexibility to work different shifts including day, evening, morning, and night
- Willingness to live aboard the cruise ship during employment period
- Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Strong command of English language both verbally and in writing
- Expertise in roasting, broiling, sauteing, frying, grilling, pastry baking, sauce creation, and cold food preparation
- Ability to upscale recipes from serving 8 to 256 guests
- Perfection in presentation and taste
- Culinary school degree or equivalent training
- At least one year of experience in high volume kitchen on a cruise ship, hotel, or fast-paced restaurant
Job Duties
- Collaborate with team to ensure delivery of dishes of impeccable quality
- Ensure all food preparation follows highest standards and established recipes
- Maintain organized and efficient production flow within kitchen environment
- Conduct rigorous food handling checks and follow safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory management including ordering and reconciliation of food items
- Adapt to menu changes and ensure seamless operations
- Address additional culinary needs as they arise during the journey
