Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years cooking experience
  • knowledge of proper protein cooking temperatures
  • good knife skills
  • ability to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a cook or line cook
  • knowledge of proper protein cooking temperatures
  • good knife skills
  • previous hotel and banquet experience preferred
  • ability to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to follow health and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, starch, meat, fish, poultry, seafood, grate cheese, chop shallots and garlic, and garnish plates and buffets
  • supply assigned workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production, including lifting and transporting products up to 50 lbs and assisting with heavier items
  • store all food in refrigerated boxes with proper covers, labels, and dates
  • perform general and routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to maintain health standards
  • follow Hilton’s high standards of quality in all food preparation
  • assist cooks in food production for Food and Beverage outlets and Banquet
  • adhere to safety and sanitation regulations
