Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years cooking experience
- knowledge of proper protein cooking temperatures
- good knife skills
- ability to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a cook or line cook
- knowledge of proper protein cooking temperatures
- good knife skills
- previous hotel and banquet experience preferred
- ability to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong attention to detail
- ability to follow health and safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, starch, meat, fish, poultry, seafood, grate cheese, chop shallots and garlic, and garnish plates and buffets
- supply assigned workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production, including lifting and transporting products up to 50 lbs and assisting with heavier items
- store all food in refrigerated boxes with proper covers, labels, and dates
- perform general and routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to maintain health standards
- follow Hilton’s high standards of quality in all food preparation
- assist cooks in food production for Food and Beverage outlets and Banquet
- adhere to safety and sanitation regulations
