Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic mathematics, communication, and computer skills
  • food preparation experience or training
  • ServSafe Certification and/or Wisconsin Food Manager Certification or complete during probation
  • pass food service computer skills test or complete District sponsored basic computer skills class
  • pass physical examination requiring lifting 48 pounds, carrying 48 pounds, and pushing/pulling 35 pounds of force
  • demonstrate understanding and use of equitable and culturally responsive practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare lunch meals according to specified guidelines
  • restock serving lines to ensure continuous meal availability
  • cashier food transactions accurately
  • assist in preparing, counting, packaging, and labeling foods for satellite kitchens
  • maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards
  • practice proper food preparation, holding, and display techniques
  • support team efforts to provide efficient and timely meal service
