Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months institutional cooking experience preferred
  • strong communication skills in English
  • basic computer proficiency
  • basic math skills
  • manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • ability to follow food safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Oversee assigned meals following menu schedule
  • ensure food is prepared and served at scheduled times
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and order
  • comply with OSHA and food service standards
  • enforce personal hygiene and appropriate attire requirements
  • supervise kitchen helpers during Chef's absence
  • train and oversee beneficiaries in kitchen duties
  • ensure compliance with food safety protocols
  • fill in for Resident Manager as needed (evening/overnight shift)
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • monitor food safety and storage standards
  • assist with inventory management
  • support overall kitchen operations
