Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform various tasks necessary to prepare, serve, and clean up after meals
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including grinder, mixer, oven, range, dishwasher, steam kettle, slicer
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to follow school policies and demonstrate ethical conduct

- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties and responsibilities
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- High school diploma or G.E.D
Job Duties
- Assists in preparation and serving food in a quick and pleasant manner
- Produces quality food products and follows standardized recipes closely
- Operates a variety of equipment, including grinder, mixer, oven, range, dishwasher, steam kettle, slicer
- When tasks are completed checks with manager and others for instruction to help others
- Assist in general daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas
- Assists in major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals
- Attends relevant training classes and workshops to maintain food service knowledge
- Assists with the proper storage and disposal of unused foods
- Deals with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive encouraging manner
- Knows and follows school policy and chain of command
- Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment
- Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor(s)
