Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including criminal record check, drug screening and motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company policy
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma and/or GED equivalent
  • At least one year’s experience in preparing meals
  • ServSafe Certification

Job Duties

  • Assists in the preparation of purchase orders according to established procedures
  • Assists with receiving and storing food
  • Assists with inventory of foods and utensils and equipment
  • Assists in the maintenance of required CACFP Daily Menu and Food Service Record
  • Complies with all sanitation and safety codes
  • Assists with serving meals according to time schedules
  • Assists in making menu substitutions when needed following established procedures
  • Serves meals in an attractive manner
  • Wears mandated attire including white uniform, enclosed skid-free shoes, hair net, apron, manicured short nails free of colored nail polish, and gloves when handling food products
  • Maintains sanitation and cleanliness in the food service area
  • Compares food delivery invoices to food and supplies delivered
  • Stores food and supplies properly
  • Washes dishes, pots, pans, etc.
  • Cleans kitchen equipment
  • Stores clean dishes, pots, pans, etc. according to guidelines
  • Discards unused foods that were served
  • Covers food before serving to units
  • Sweeps floor
