Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- At least six months of quality food service experience
- Current ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, or move heavy items up to 50 pounds
- Coursework or experience in budgeting and purchasing
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel when needed

Job Duties
- Assist in the daily food service operations of the child care center
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to provided menus
- Adhere to menus for children with special dietary needs
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety procedures
- Store food deliveries and supplies properly
- Wash and care for kitchen equipment and utensils
- Maintain temperature control charts daily
- Assist in nutrition education activities with teaching staff
- Support special events by preparing food as needed
- Attend trainings and workshops
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Abide by safety policies and procedures
- Represent the center positively and professionally
- Gather client information for appropriate referrals
- Perform other related duties as required
