Job Requirements
- Adequate physical strength, stamina, and physical agility

- Ability to work the schedule of 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday with weekend differential

Job Qualifications
- Any experience and training which would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
- Experience providing customer service
- Experience working in a large-scale institutional setting
- Experience with food safety standards
- Experience using basic kitchen equipment such as knives, peelers, mixers, kettles, and flattops
- Experience with food preparation
Job Duties
- Participate in tray line service ensuring timely and accurate meal assembly for patients and residents with varying dietary requirements
- Contribute to a welcoming dining experience by preparing and plating meals for Veterans in the dining hall and assisting with meal delivery to the healthcare center
- Assist in ensuring hot and cold foods are stored and served at appropriate temperatures
- Work side-by-side with the team to support all aspects of food service and ensure smooth and efficient operation
- Adhere to all kitchen protocols including food safety, sanitation, and dietary compliance
- Perform a variety of basic food preparation tasks such as preparing soups, salads, meats, vegetables, desserts, and beverages
- Clean, wash, and polish kitchen equipment including pots, pans, dishes, silverware, floors, and walls
- Operate kitchen machines and equipment
- Assist with receiving and storage of food
- Participate in serving food and packing food for delivery
- Perform related duties as required
