Job Requirements
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- Appropriate helicopter or airplane rating
- Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate or higher
- Proven history of leadership in air medical transport
- Experience in Part 135 charter operations or similar aviation environments
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Parts 61, 91, and 135
- Experience ensuring compliance with CAMTS, OpSpecs, and company SOPs
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call responsibilities
- Must meet FAA medical standards for physical and mental fitness
- Ability to sit for extended periods in an aircraft cockpit
- Capability to perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections involving physical activity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Meet current weight restrictions established by the company
Job Qualifications

- Strong computer literacy including scheduling and flight operations software proficiency
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call responsibilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Experience as a check airman or instructor preferred
- Air ambulance experience preferred
Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company policies for Part 135 operations
- Regularly review, update, and revise the General Operations Manual (GOM) to reflect current regulations and industry best practices
- Distribute all changes and updates to pilots, ensuring timely communication and confirmation of receipt
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify regulatory adherence and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the Chief Pilot to establish and refine safety, efficiency, and compliance procedures
- Investigate compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventative measures
- Coordinate with Field Operations Managers to ensure staffing, scheduling, and aircraft movements
- Manage special projects assigned by the Chief Pilot, overseeing their completion within set timelines
- Manage and oversee Field Operations Managers
- Maintain organized records and reports, ensuring all documentation required by the FAA is accurate and readily accessible
