Job Requirements
- At least three years of experience within culinary or directly related operational area
- At least two years of directly related operational management experience at similar leadership level
- At least 21 years of age
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain servsafe certification
Job Qualifications
- Experience in meeting and exceeding VIP guest requests and preparing custom menus on short notice
- Ability to write routine reports, purchase orders, menus, and correspondences
- Experience utilizing property management applications such as purchasing systems, Kronos, and HotSOS
- Experience managing collective bargaining agreement work groups
- Effective communication skills in English
- Polished appearance and demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team
- Knowledge and understanding of company and department policies and procedures
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Advance knowledge of principles and practices within in room dining
- At least three years experience as a chef in a full-service restaurant
- Degree in culinary arts or related field
- Experience in catering and banquet operations
- Previous experience in a large luxury resort setting
Job Duties
- Work alongside executive chef and front of house management to achieve or exceed budgeted labor and cost centers
- Manage personnel for back of house staff including hiring, training, development, and corrective planning
- Achieve daily sales and assigned cost goals
- Oversee weekly and monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies
- Assist with food preparation, station cooking and plating when necessary
- Manage inventory, purchasing and receiving of front and back of house products
- Ensure sanitation procedures and work area organization adhere to health code regulations
- Develop menu standards and maintain presentation quality
- Assist with conducting daily line-ups and pre-shift meetings
- Conduct scheduled meetings to ensure open communication between management and team
- Ensure team members adhere to company guidelines and training manuals
- Implement and apply company core values and department standards
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
- Use personal device for operational tasks and document review
- Perform other related duties as assigned
