Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years culinary experience
  • knowledge of ServSafe or similar food safety program
  • knowledge of HACCP procedures
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • proficiency in recipe and menu creation
  • ability to train and work with students and employees
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • successful completion of background check

  • minimum 6 months supervisory experience desired
  • knowledge of Jamix desired
  • experience in high-volume food operation desired
  • experience in catering, fast casual or cafeteria dining desired
  • ServeSafe certification desired

Job Duties

  • prepare cooked foods for dining operations
  • operate all kitchen stations and manage functions
  • apply knowledge in food presentation and proper cooking methods
  • ensure timing for continuous fresh food service
  • provide support across kitchen stations for timely service
  • perform duties for special functions and events
  • act as primary culinary manager in absence of unit chef
