Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent
  • two years culinary experience
  • knowledge of ServSafe or similar food safety program
  • knowledge of HACCP procedures
  • proficiency in recipe and menu creation
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • successful completion of background check

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • two years culinary experience
  • knowledge of ServSafe or similar food safety program
  • knowledge of HACCP procedures
  • knowledge of all kitchen equipment
  • proficiency in recipe and menu creation
  • ability to train and work with students and employees
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • successful completion of background check
  • desired: two to four years culinary experience
  • minimum six months supervisory experience
  • knowledge of Jamix
  • experience in high-volume food operation
  • experience in catering, fast casual, or cafeteria style dining operations
  • ServeSafe certification

Job Duties

  • prepare cooked foods in support of dining operations
  • operate all stations within the culinary operation
  • ensure proper timing for freshly cooked products
  • support any station to ensure timely service
  • perform special functions and event catering
  • act as primary culinary manager in the absence of the Unit Chef
  • train and work with students and regular employees
