Job Requirements
- BA or higher in business, hospitality, hotel or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Able to maintain a physical presence at designated work locations including regular attendance and punctuality
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as events require
- Able to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally
- Able to supervise all aspects of events
- Able to interact with staff, clients, and potential clients in a polite and courteous manner
- Able to multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds and work standing on feet, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting for several hours
- Able to maintain accurate and user-friendly client files and documentation
- Skilled in Windows based programs including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to handle money to accurately collect payment for events and process with the Finance Department
- Ability to work well with other departments associated with catered events

Job Duties
- Assist the Catering & Events Manager in managing and executing all catered events and sales efforts
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of clients and the specifics of events to provide the most appropriate event for that client
- Coordinate and execute all operational aspects for catered events with appropriate internal staff
- Work with the Catering and Events Manager and third party service providers to create interesting new menus and exciting event ideas
- Collect client feedback on assigned catered events and discuss with Catering and Events Manager
- Complete client contracts and collect and process payments
- Initiate and respond to all client inquiries and communications in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with vendors
- Assist clients as needed up to and including day of event
- Oversee and collaborate with all appropriate departments and vendors to ensure proper setup and breakdown of events
- Keep current on trends in the special event and catering industry
- Utilize professional interactions, effective communication, and relationship development
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned
