Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have 2 years experience in food and beverage service or events
- Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License
- Certified Food Service Manager Certificate
- STAR Training
- Ability to work nights weekends and during live racing events
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for several hours and work in moderate noise environments
Job Qualifications
- Must have 2 years experience in food and beverage service or events
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel Visio and PowerPoint are a plus
- Possess the ability to type and communicate in a professional manner and use applicable office equipment
- Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License required
- Certified Food Service Manager Certificate through Fayette County Health Department

Job Duties
- Plan direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff
- Supervise employees during racing sales and special event seasons
- Assist the Beverage Operations Manager in hiring placement and daily scheduling of Barbacks
- Instruct and train bartenders proper drink recipes proper pours and proper use of all bar equipment
- Communicate company policy standards and procedures
- Maintain regular communications with staff and management
- Resolve guest complaints promptly
- Participate in all bar tastings for proper presentation and standards
- Manage all beverage promotions TV and print organize promotional activities
- Stay current with relevant alcohol service
- Ensure all bars have proper inventory on hand and are accounted for
- Manage inventory assist in physical counts transfers and loss prevention of all alcohol products
- Manage inventory count sheet daily supervise counts and audit bars for accuracy
- Ensure all deliveries are accounted for and accurately stored in the proper location
- Hold bartenders accountable for all inventory discrepancies
- Ensure all stock is correctly rotated and stored to reduce waste
- Responsible for inputting product location transfers in the Yellow Dog System adhering to policy and guidelines
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of bar areas
- Oversee cashing out voids and paperwork needed to restock bar locations
- Ensure speed of service
- Ensure proper placement of liquor and barware
- Look for ways to enhance the operation and present ideas to management
- Accurately complete administrative work associated with department products
- Perform other duties as assigned
