Job Qualifications

  • Two years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel
  • At least three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or a four-year college degree with one year related experience or a two-year college degree with two or more years related experience
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with health department rules and liquor laws

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
  • Oversee daily operation of the food and beverage outlet
  • Supervise outlet personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints timely
  • Coordinate and communicate with other food and beverage managers
  • Keep supervisor informed of issues
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts
  • Prepare and submit timely reports
  • Monitor quality of service
  • Assist in menu planning
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Manage requisition procedures
  • Be visible and assist staff during meal periods
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Implement and monitor corporate promotions
  • Train employees on procedures and job tasks
  • Conduct departmental and hotel training sessions
  • Interview candidates for front-of-house positions
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Oversee private events and in-room dining quality
  • Hold staff accountable
