Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage or related field
  • ability to lead a team effectively
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of banquet operations
  • ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • must be able to work full time on site
  • proficient in managing inventory and supplies
  • able to handle customer complaints and provide solutions

Job Qualifications

  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards

  • familiarity with food and wine pairings and event presentation
  • experience with scheduling and staff coordination
  • understanding of hospitality industry standards and procedures

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and equipment maintenance
  • maintain attendance logs for banquet employees
  • enforce established sanitation and safety standards
  • adhere to and enforce standard operating procedures
  • ensure employee awareness of event quality metrics and guest satisfaction scores
  • order necessary supplies such as china, glassware, and silverware
  • guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs and inventory management
  • manage banquet activities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • assist in scheduling banquet staff based on forecast and profit goals
  • attend and participate in meetings
  • lead shifts and actively participate in event servicing
  • apply knowledge of food and wine pairings and event presentation
  • set positive example for guest relations
  • interact with guests to gather feedback
  • respond to guest complaints and problems
  • empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • strive to improve service performance
  • support orientation and training programs for new employees
  • ensure employees understand job expectations
  • observe service behaviors and provide feedback
  • review guest satisfaction comments with staff
  • communicate and execute emergency safety procedures
