Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Events Management or Hospitality
- Ability to plan, coordinate and manage event operational activities
- Demonstrated experience in event execution and management
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to maintain working relationships with supervisors, subordinates and public
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Events Management or Hospitality
- Ability to plan, coordinate and manage event operational activities with directors, managers and operation staff
- Demonstrated experience ensuring successful event execution and management
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy, discretion, collaboration and problem solving
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal, etc.) with internal and external University stakeholders
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates and the public
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fluctuating and fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may change daily pending event schedules and may include nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects in the execution of events at Faculty Club and Loeb House or any other designated venue as well as the dining rooms of the Club
- Provide supervision and oversight to full-time, part-time and temporary service staff during events
- Assign tasks and ensure the successful completion of assignments
- Participate in pre-event planning meetings supporting the sales team, event hosts, and other support teams
- Oversee and assist event hosts and Banquet Managers setting up of event equipment, including room set up, table setup, chairs and food and beverage
- Design, create and distribute scaled drawings for each event as needed, using the Room Viewer software
- Assist clients in solidifying event details (venue selection, F&B, parking, transportation, room setup, flowers and decor, audio visual equipment, and logistics)
- Manage the events booking process and implement events ranging in size and complexity from single-day events to multi-day conferences to large-scale University social events
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, damages or loss of property or any other safety concerns to the Associate Director of Banquets and the General Manager
- Maintain constant communication with sales team, Banquet Managers, Chef, Service staff, and the Front Desk staff
- Conduct daily walk through and inspect venues for compliance regarding cleanliness, fire safety and set up
- Assist in maintaining security and services of guests and employees during events
- Perform other duties as assigned
