Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university
  • minimum 2 years of hospitality experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, or housekeeping
  • or at least 3 years of experience in two of the hospitality areas
  • ability to run shifts, schedule staff, manage performance, and handle operations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem solving, and day-to-day operation management preferred
  • strong hospitality skills
  • knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • ability to lead and motivate teams
  • excellent customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Communicates service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions
  • totals charges for group functions and presents checks to group contacts for payment
  • verifies banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service
  • inspects cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver prior to use
  • sets tables according to event and service standards
  • leads shift teams and conducts daily stand-up, pre-shift and post-meal meetings
  • manages inventory of function room amenities and departmental supplies
  • handles guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance as necessary
