Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related field
  • ability to work full time with open availability

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and equipment maintenance
  • maintain attendance log for banquet employees
  • enforce established sanitation levels
  • adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures
  • ensure employee awareness of event phase and guest satisfaction feedback
  • order supplies for the department including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and service equipment
  • use banquet beverage records to manage liquor inventory and control costs
  • manage banquet operations to maximize customer satisfaction
  • assist in scheduling banquet service staff to meet service standards and profitability
  • attend and participate in pertinent meetings
  • lead banquet shifts and actively participate in event servicing
  • apply and broaden knowledge of food, wine pairings, and event presentation
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • respond to guest problems and complaints
  • empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • strive to improve service performance
  • support new hire orientation and training
  • ensure employees understand job expectations
  • observe and provide feedback on service behaviors
  • review guest satisfaction results with employees
  • communicate and enforce emergency and safety procedures
