Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years experience as an assistant banquet manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of Four Seasons operational standards and policies
  • Experience with food and beverage service and cost/labor control
  • Ability to operate computer systems for food and beverage management
  • Effective communication skills
  • WA State Food Handler's Card
  • M.A.S.T certification
  • U.S. work authorization or ability to obtain it through the hotel

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years experience as an assistant manager in banquets or food and beverage outlet
  • Knowledge of merging divisional operations with Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and procedures
  • Understanding food and beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
  • Ability to operate food and beverage computer systems including MICROS and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse event guests and clients
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize guest and employee needs
  • WA State Food Handler's Card
  • M.A.S.T certification

Job Duties

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline banquet employees and supervisors
  • Plan and manage daily banquet outlet operations
  • Be visible in the operation providing recognition and handling guest complaints
  • Support operational teams in roles including server, houseman, and captain
  • Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to banquet event orders
  • Communicate with group contacts, Catering Managers, and Conference Services Managers to ensure event details are executed
  • Manage labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cash control
  • Participate in regular operational meetings for effective interdepartmental coordination
  • Observe and recommend improvements for banquet facilities and equipment
