Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related field
  • Ability to manage and maintain inventory
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and customer service principles
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory and cost control
  • Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain attendance log for banquet employees
  • Enforce established sanitation levels
  • Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure employee awareness of the event phase portion of the Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores
  • Order supplies for the department including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and service equipment
  • Use banquet beverage records to guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs and managing inventory
  • Manage banquet operations activities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Assist in scheduling banquet service staff according to forecast and service standards
  • Attend and participate in all pertinent meetings
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events
  • Apply and broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and event presentation
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality and service levels
  • Respond to and handle guest complaints
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Support departmental orientation program and employee training
  • Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters
  • Observe service behaviors and provide feedback
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Communicate and execute emergency procedures and ensure staff training in safety protocols
