Job Requirements
- 2 plus years retail scratch baking experience preferred
- Age 18 years or older
- Food handlers permit required
- Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand walk twist sit and bend for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity for handling small objects and operating equipment
- Ability to push pull carry lift reach grip and balance
- Occasionally stoop crouch kneel or crawl
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to access and navigate all store areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including floor to shoulder and overhead lifting
- Occasional use and climbing of step stools or ladders
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in retail or guest service preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred

Job Duties
- Help with production development preparation and maintenance of bakery items according to recipes and quality standards
- Oversee daily bakery operations including production schedules and workflow
- Assist with inventory level maintenance and supply ordering
- Ensure shelves and cases are filled fresh rotated faced and cleaned
- Assist with training and supervision of bakery staff fostering a positive team environment
- Educate customers about bakery products and services
- Maintain training and certification by attending in-person and digital training
- Process and complete orders through digital and in-person channels
- Monitor sales and profitability implementing strategies to increase revenue
- Assist in managing budgets and controlling labor and ingredient costs
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Provide knowledgeable answers to guest inquiries
- Promote a high level of morale within department and store through honest communication
- Ensure excellent guest service by accurately taking and processing orders
- Display excellent problem-solving skills exemplifying the company values
- Assist customers with use of company website
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays according to store standards
- Ensure product freshness by rotating stock and checking expiration dates
- Unload deliveries and inspect incoming items for quality
- Store perishable items at correct temperatures and maintain dry storage areas
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies using FIFO system to reduce waste
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain product consistency
- Package baked goods to maintain freshness and comply with safety regulations
- Label items correctly including pricing ingredients allergens and expiration
- Oversee bakery product displays ensuring neat arrangement and freshness
- Minimize product waste by tracking production versus sales
- Dispose of waste properly or recycle according to policy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Store dairy or cream products at proper temperatures
- Oversee hygiene practices including hand washing use of gloves and equipment sanitation
- Handle allergen containing products properly to avoid cross-contamination
- Report safety hazards and equipment issues to Store Director
- Handle accident reporting for team members and guests timely
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Contribute towards department cleaning responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Follow store policies on returns exchanges and refunds
- Ensure security of cash and financial transactions
- Work cooperatively with team members to achieve store goals
- Encourage teamwork and guest service excellence
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Assist other departments as needed
- Work tactfully and patiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure products are sold before expiration
- Attend departmental store and company meetings
