Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of two years retail grocery experience
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to transfer trays and items up to weight limits
- Adhere to safety and health regulations
- Hold a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience
- Have two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills and ability to give and take direction in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Be able to operate bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and a total of 8 hours per shift
- Physically capable of transferring trays and items up to specified weights without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the bakery manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the bakery team
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of bakery product
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
