Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Two years retail grocery experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to give and receive direction in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to perform housekeeping duties
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • Physical ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously
  • Capability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Maintenance of Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Have at least two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have outgoing and friendly behavior
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Have knowledge of operating bakery equipment and tools
  • Be able to perform general housekeeping in the bakery department
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
  • Maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
