Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Have two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to give and take direction in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment
  • Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift items up to 40 lbs
  • Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work area
  • Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
  • Be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
