Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
- Have two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to give and take direction in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- Ability to operate bakery equipment
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work area
- Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
