Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and for 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
  • Adherence to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Ability to maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Dependability and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Have two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills and ability to participate in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations
  • Validate that other Bakery team members are aware of and following these procedures
