Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to operate and use bakery-related equipment
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Be able to transfer trays and items of varying weights manually
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit

- Perform general housekeeping in the department
- clean and sanitize work area including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.
- Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are following these procedures
