Job Requirements
- Minimum two years' retail grocery experience
- Minimum two years supervisory experience
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and dependable
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Good communication skills
- Ability to give and take direction
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping
- Operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes including night, weekends, and holidays
- Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction participating in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department
- Clean and sanitize work area including tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.
- Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- Knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical transfer of items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members follow these procedures
