Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience
- have two years supervisory experience
- be dependable and reliable
- have the ability to work flexible schedules including night, weekends, and holidays
- show outgoing and friendly behavior
- have a positive attitude
- have good communication skills
- be able to give and take direction
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitize the work area
- be able to operate kitchen and bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- be able to vertically transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

- uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
