Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
- have two years supervisory experience
- be dependable and reliable
- be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have an outgoing and friendly behavior
- have good communication skills
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- be able to operate knives, scales, and deli equipment
- be physically able to stand and lift weights up to 40 lbs
- have or achieve a Food Handlers permit

- be able to give and take direction participating in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the department
- operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
