Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
- have two years supervisory experience
- be dependable and reliable
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have an outgoing and friendly behavior
- have a positive attitude
- have the ability to interact with customers
- possess good communication skills
- ability to give and take direction
- experience answering phones and taking special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- ability to operate bakery-related equipment and tools
- stand continuously for up to three hours per stretch
- lift and transfer bakery items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to all safety, health, and legal regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit

- be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a food handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the bakery manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the bakery team
- execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of bakery product
- unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
