Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have minimum two years retail grocery experience
  • Have minimum two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have outgoing and friendly behavior and positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer items up to 40 lbs
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations
  • Maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to accurately weigh and label products using scales and weight measures
  • Ability to stand for long periods and transfer items up to 40 lbs
  • Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
