Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work seasonal demand periods particularly during holidays and special occasions
  • no formal education or work experience required though baking or operational support experience is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, and interpret instructional documents such as recipes and health and safety rules
  • understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
  • ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment
  • meticulous about exact measurements, timing, and working in a fast-paced production environment
  • participation in daily cleaning duties
  • ability to evaluate compliance with standards
  • discipline and attention to detail for health and safety practices
  • diligence, organization, and self-motivation with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
  • assists baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking places cake pans into a hot oven and monitors the baking process
  • assists baker with daily baking and production flow and processes
  • adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
  • cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation and assists baker to ensure all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
  • performs utility functions such as washing baking pans and trays, utensils, mixing bowls, and shared employee dishes, cups and silverware
