Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, special events and holidays as scheduled
  • Ability to follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines including HAACP standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation
  • Ability to maintain professional and courteous behavior at all times
  • Must have reliable punctuality and attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required
  • At least 1 year's relevant work history required baking big bulk batches
  • Must have experience in high volume scratch baking, laminated doughs, cake and cake decorating, and fine pastries
  • Must be highly detail oriented, punctual, and reliable
  • Must be quick and efficient and have the ability to work in a fast paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Positive, willingness to learn, friendly and outgoing attitude required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong and outgoing verbal communication skills in person - face to face
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts
  • Accurately follows directions from the management team
  • Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy items on a regular basis
  • Strong verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all kitchen staff
  • Manage flow and timing of finished product within a shift
  • Basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Job Duties

  • Assists baker in creating quality baked goods
  • Assist in forecasting usage based on set pars using a product mix
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of bakery supplies
  • Understands and complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, broilers, fryers, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
  • Reports equipment and food quality problems to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Informs supervisor immediately of product shortages
  • Uses Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products
  • Uses all kitchen equipment following proper procedures and training
  • Communicates with supervisor relaying food usage and quality control
  • Follows proper HAACP guidelines when handling, preparing, storing or stocking food items
  • Attends all mandatory department, casino and/or training meetings
  • Follows all department and casino policies, procedures, and regulations as required
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations
  • Ensures control/protection of company assets as applicable
  • Works days, nights, weekends, special events and holidays as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
