Job Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move bakery ingredients, cases, and pans up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including walk-in refrigerators and freezers
- Comfortable operating bakery machinery and tools (mixers, ovens, label makers, etc)
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist team members
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain preferred
Job Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in a bake-off style bakery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good customer service skills
- Familiarity with bakery machinery and tools
- Ability to manage inventory and assist with ordering
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare, bake, wrap, and stock bakery products for sale in the Farm Market
- Assist in maintaining inventory and organizing freezers to ensure proper rotation and freshness
- Provide support in managing bakery merchandise, product ordering, and inventory control
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of product quality, both from our bakery ovens and from outside vendors
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills when interacting with customers and coworkers
- Support efforts to minimize product shrink through careful handling and inventory practices
- Assist with ensuring bakery equipment is properly maintained and serviced as needed
- Help implement promotional and merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer experience
- Be a positive and dependable team member, willing to assist wherever needed within the department
