Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in administrative, investigative, or loss prevention roles
- Substitution of education for experience allowed as specified
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible retail loss prevention experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain secret DOD security clearance
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and physical security protocols
- Ability to manage and supervise staff
- Willingness to work full-time, 35+ hours per week
- Must comply with all Navy Exchange policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in administrative, investigative, or loss prevention fields
- Two years of progressively responsible retail loss prevention experience
- Proficient in investigative techniques and operational audits
- Skilled in use of surveillance technology and case management software
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to develop and implement safety and loss prevention programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of Navy Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention programs
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret Department of Defense security clearance.
Job Duties
- Provide staff assistance to Exchange management for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating loss prevention programs including safety, physical security, and operational reviews
- Manage and conduct all internal and external theft investigations, suspected unethical conduct, accidents, workplace violence, fraud, waste or abuse
- Conduct and oversee overnight surveillance activities, covert camera installations, investigations, and interviewing dishonest associates, vendors, and contractors
- Work as collateral duty Safety Manager to administer the Navy Occupational Safety and Fire Prevention Program, including safety training, awareness, and accident prevention programs
- Hire, train, develop, mentor, coach, and supervise loss prevention/safety staff ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
- Conduct operational reviews and audits at assigned locations, work with General Manager to correct deficiencies and increase compliance
- Develop and oversee shrink committees and shrink action plans with store operations to control inventory shrink
- Manage physical security programs such as CCTV, EAS, alarms, and key control systems ensuring enforcement
- Assist in fiscal year-end store inventories including preparation, taking, reconciliation, and reporting irregularities
- Utilize web-based case management systems and POS exception reporting tools to support investigations and problem resolution
- Participate in personal and professional development of loss prevention/safety associates through training and education
- Develop strong relationships and communication with Corporate, District, Store Operations, and law enforcement officials
- Maintain and utilize a secret Department of Defense security clearance
- Support all loss prevention and safety initiatives as assigned under general supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned.
