Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or high school diploma equivalent with 3 years relevant experience such as retail or asset protection
  • Availability for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and may lift more with or without assistance
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and handle violent altercations
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, trainings, or support to neighboring stores

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, safety, business, or related asset protection field
  • National certified training program such as Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training
  • Professional accreditation such as APQ, APC, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience supervising employees including coaching, mentoring, directing, training, performance management, and recognition
  • 2 years of experience as a manager in a retail environment
  • 1 year of experience conducting quality reviews or audits
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents such as P&L and exception reports
  • Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations
  • Experience using physical security systems such as CCTV and EAS

Job Duties

  • Help store operational leadership team ensure associates deliver friendly, professional, timely service to customers
  • Monitor receiving, shipping, and selling patterns for assigned store
  • Champion initiatives and establish processes to improve safety, hazmat, shrink, and security outcomes
  • Oversee and coordinate programs to minimize loss and maintain a safe working and shopping environment
  • Monitor and investigate criminal activities and respond to incidents to keep customers and staff safe
  • Coach and train associates on safety and asset protection practices
  • Manage inventory levels to assist with shrink and shortages
