Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant work experience
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
- Physical ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with or without assistance
- Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations
- Occasional travel capability for meetings and trainings
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in psychology or criminal justice or high school diploma with one year relevant work experience
- Experience conducting retail investigations
- Knowledge of physical security systems such as CCTV and electronic article surveillance (EAS)
- Experience in handling investigations involving organized crime and asset protection
- Completion of national certified training programs like Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training
- Professional accreditation such as APQ or APC or equivalent experience
- If required by the state or municipality, possession of a valid salesperson license or ability to obtain licensing within 60 days of employment
Job Duties
- Coach and train store associates and leaders on identifying and deterring external theft through implementation of Lowe's shrink programs
- Monitor merchandise, customer, and associate activity, reporting infractions to store and asset protection leadership
- Prevent inventory shrinkage and deter criminal activity
- Coordinate with senior asset protection managers and loss prevention teams to identify key merchandise and stores affected by external theft
- Develop plans leveraging data and resources to address exposures and reduce organized crime activity
- Investigate and resolve issues related to criminal activity in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company policy
- Respond effectively to potentially violent or physical altercations by making quick decisions and maintaining composure
