Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years of related work experience
  • experience in food processing, grocery store produce, delicatessen, or similar industries
  • problem solving and leadership skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results and achieve productivity goals
  • excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Qualifications

  • industry experience with a solid understanding of food safety, regulatory compliance, and GMP

  • working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
  • excellent verbal, written and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • oversee the assembly team focused on packing items according to customer specifications
  • monitor work performed within the department to ensure quality standards are met
  • maintain a fluid schedule of open work items with target start and end dates aligned with the master schedule
  • work in a refrigerated environment for long periods of time
  • assist in proper training and development of all assembly employees
  • monitor the process of sorting, wrapping, and packing airline dry goods/liquor and equipment into airline carts according to airline specifications while ensuring sanitation standards compliance
  • ensure compliance with all government regulatory agency standards such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP
